    Dawn Sherman, Executive Director, is a member of the Lakota, Shawnee and Delaware tribes. She is also a founding member of Tanka Fund’s Board of Directors.

  • PHILLIP GAUDON

    Phillip Gaudon, Director of Marketing, leads communications and content strategy at Tanka Fund. A citizen of the Mi'kmaq Nation, he brings 15 years of sales experience and an Indigenous perspective to the Buffalo restoration mission.

  • RACHEL HUNTER

    Rachel Hunter, Operations Manager, has been with Tanka Fund since 2009. An Oglala Lakota citizen from the Pine Ridge Reservation, she brings deep community roots and a personal commitment to Buffalo restoration to her work.

  • Augusta “Gusti” Rattling Hawk

    Augusta 'Gusti' Rattling Hawk, Buffalo Restoration Director, is an enrolled Oglala Lakota from Wambli, South Dakota. They bring deep experience in Buffalo management, ecological restoration, and Tribal Nation partnerships to their work at Tanka Fund."

  • Tyler “TJ” Heinert

    Tyler 'TJ' Heinert, Technical Service Provider, is an enrolled member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe and a third generation cowboy rancher from South Dakota. He brings a lifetime of experience in Buffalo management and regenerative agriculture to his work at Tanka Fund.
